After Graduating from Raceland High School in 1963, Mike decided he would like to try out for the LSU football team. In those days, all of the top athletes in the state were signed by LSU and few "Tryouts" were successful in making the team.
Mike's experience in going to Baton Rouge on his own and trying out for the team was quite an adventure. There are two albums that tell the story of his days on the LSU campus.
